Frode Alnæs, Arild Andersen, Stian Carstensen

A unexpected recording, this one. Given that one expects a bit of Balkan madness from Carstensen and some ECM cool from Andersen and Alnæs, what this trio of guitar, bass and accordion deliver instead is a mellow blend of jazz and traditional dance music, easy going, almost breezy most of the time. Top notch performances, all recorded as a live (in the studio) trio and with one exception, no extras or overdubs (and we get a marvelously wacky banjo bit from Stian on one track). It's really quite a delight!

There's a LOT of variety here, so listen to some of these tracks:
Uti var hage
Smedens sommarlat
Den forsta...
Visa vid midsommertid
Makeskjaersvalsen (that banjo tune!)

Please note!
Most CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. We guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
