Simon and Olle Simonsson, Kjell-Erik Eriksson
Drängkammarlåtar (Farm-hand Tunes) (Giga 32)
The record label says:
Simon Simonsson, Olle Simonsson, Kjell-Erik Eriksson play music that was in fashion among country people in Sweden at the beginning of this century. Simon and Kjell-Erik (of Hoven Droven) play the fiddle as well as Simon's brother Olle, who also plays the accompaniment on zither and guitar. Most of the tunes come from the fiddlers from Älvdalen in Dalecarlia and Offerdal in Jämtland. The music, together with Simon's commentaries in the booklet, provide a glimpse of a world that not many people are familiar with nowadays. How about the "flat jump", for instance, a dance that was considered so immoral that it was forbidden in certain dance halls!

Please note! Most CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. We guarantee that the CD and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
