Tref
Accordeon Diatonique (Wild Boar Music, Belgium)
$17.99
Three great diatonic accordionists of Belgium form a band, and the results are quite spectacular. Tref are Wim Clays (Ambrozijn, Olla Vogala), Didier Lalo (Panta Rei) and Bruno Le Tron, accompanied by Frédéric Malempré on percussion and berimbeau. The music may be Flemish in locale, but their influences wander all over Europen, from dark Nordic swatches to light brush strokes from Mediterranean.

| "Whoever thinks accordeons are boring, get this album, and you will change your mind. Tref's music is inspiring, it is in no way an accordeon orchestra sound, but innovative modern and lively folk music. It is really fun to listen to this CD, a wonderful collection of tunes (trad, self composed and by other musicians) played in a delightful way. The musicians show not only in their music a sense of humour; their sleeve notes are a wonderful funny mixture of Flemish and French.... A lot of talent, atmosphere, taste - I loved this album." - Michael Moll, Fokworld.de |

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
