| "In August 2004, a huge concert was mounted at Festival d'Art de Huy with 27 of the musicians that he has played his accordeon with over the years, and recording and film of this appears on two discs. The highlights of the InviteŠs DVD include a stunning set of Transylvanian wedding dances from Trio Trad and the interplay of the three accordeons: Didier with Wim Claeys and Bruno Tron. There is fine singing too from a variety of contributors including Lais, but none can match the sheer authority that Gabriel Yacoub brings to his two songs. The concert footage is augmented by other support material, though the DVD editors are guilty of allowing too much backstage silly faces and gestures to the camera at the expense of shooting of comment, conversation and rehearsal. The InviteŠs CD has tracks recorded at the same concert, though only one song is repeated, and that is the somewhat incongruous, untypical Lords & Thieves by Perry Rose. Panta Rhei get a chance to show why they are so highly regarded and two-thirds of Lais, Jorunn and Nathalie are on good form. The combined DVD & CD release works well on this occasion and it will be interesting to see if it catches on." - fROOTS |

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
