This powerful recording was produced by Tellu working with musicians from Finland, Greenland, Faroe Islands. Using themes of hunting and fishing as the core of the project, they move into an incredible circle of deeply ancient and wildly modern musical territories. Tellu's vocals are essential, but the entire ensemble achieves a critical mass with bouzouki, piano, cow bells, various percussion, sound effects (sampled and vocal), and many layers of voices.

Piniartut means "the hunters" and this ensemble seeks and finds new music in the ancient roots. Moving from rich, quiet and sublime ambiance to almost vicious strands of noise, the Piniartut find what they were looking for: originality. - CF

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
