Svend Bjerg
Fjand (Svend Bjerg, en vestjysk spillemand) (Tutl Records)
15.99
Traditional fiddle music from Fjand, in Jutland, Denmark by one of the old masters (he was born in 1903).
Bjerg was a farmer and a fiddler all his life, and made both his profession. These recordings were made in 1978, live in a living room in 'very western Jutland' with accompaniment on fiddles, piano and accordion. In additiona to the music, there is a bit of chat among the musicians, further enhancing the informal setting (you can hear the dishes rattling!) and the friendly rapport of the musicians. It is sweet simplicity itself, the real thing.

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
