Jez Lowe and Jake Walton
Two A Roue (Tantobie Records)
$14.99

When Two A Roue was first released as an LP, it was highly praised by both critics & fans alike. Folk Roots Magazine named it the #4 recording for 1986 and in its review stated, “There are so many catch tunes on this album, that it is almost an epidemic, and each is performed with such care and attention, you'll find the entire contents of 'Two a Roue' singing around your head for ages.” Although the recording was out of print for a decade, fans have never stopped asking when it would be available on CD. So for all those die-hard fans who have nagged Jez and Jake for a decade, it was released with three new bonus tracks (Over Seal Sands, Appleby Gallop & The Spinning of the Wheel.) The original release was produced by Jo Partridge at Air Field Studios in Cornwall with the three additional tracks being produced by Paul Reeve, Jake & Jez at the same studio 15 years later. Guests musicians include both Jo Partridge & Paul Reeve. Four and a half of the tracks are instrumental only tunes and the recording reflects strong traditional & Celtic influences as well as the contemporary singer songwriter styles evolving in the mid 1980’s. Both Jez & Jake’s song writing talents are showcased in the album as well as their instrumental skill with Jez playing guitar, cittern, whistle, banjo, harmonica & keyboards and Jake on hurdy gurdy, dulcimer & guitar. The end result? A classic album before Celtic was hip!

Please note!
Most CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. We guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
