A natural West African crossroads, the Ivory Coast has always been at the forefront of musical trends, be it black American music, Cuban rhythms, French pop, Mandingo lyricism, Ghanese high-life or Congolese fusions. With its 72 ethnicities, their dances and music, Côte d'Ivoire possesses a strong cultural heritage -- and since 1975, all the West-African music seems to gather in the capital of the Ivory Coast, to give birth to a timeless, exceptional music.
