The ten songs in this recording make use of various dialects from Southern Italy (Sicilian, Calabrese, Greek from Salento, Neapolitan, from Lucania) to generate a musical fire in both traditional and original songs by singer Rosapaeda.
The arrangement of traditional pieces such as "Angelare'", "Kali Nifta", Serenata", "Lu Ruscio", has been entrusted to a French musician Stéphane Delicq [Stephan Delicq]. Accordionist Eddi Romano composed some of the music, while the lyrics are by the Neapolitan Dario Jacobelli, who is already known as author for important Italian musicians (Daniele Sepe, 99 Posse, Bisca, Balaperdida); On other songs, the original music has been composed by Eddi Romano for traditional lyrics.
An ensemble consists of cello, double-bass, diatonic accordeon , with the Mediterranean roots of flamenco guitar by Davide Viterbo, as well as the voice and darabuka of Algerian percussionist Bachir Gareche and the use of voice techniques adopted by Rosapaeda where Arab scales and melodic lines from our South are alternated. The results, accordiong to the artist, is "a new sort of popular music, with harmonies and lyrics that, notwithstanding their modernity, do however preserve all the force and feelings of traditional pieces."

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
