Shipping and handling rates as of December 2007

If you have any additional questions, please contact me. If you need any special delivery services outside of the US, please e-mail me BEFORE you place your order to arrange for special shipping rates.

I offer a small discount for orders over $300.00, but you MUST contact me first to get the information about a discount. If you use the shopping cart before you contact me, you WILL NOT get the discount.
Also note that these are approximate charges. If you are ordering large box sets or other special items, I may need to notify you about increased shipping charges. You will not be charged extra without hearing from me first.

cdRoots is based in New Haven, CT, USA. All packages are shipped from there by postal service.
I usually ship within 4 business days of receiving your order, so when you see shipping times, add that extra time to the delivery. Some items may take two to three weeks to ship. If time is essential, contact me BEFORE you place your order.

Special optional, additional shipping charges (choose only one to upgrade your shipping)

Priority Mail - US only - $3.00 will be added to the regular shipping costs
Insured Registered Mail - all other countries - $18.00 will be added to the standard shipping costs. This choice insures your order, but it can slow down delivery by many weeks because of customs and handling by your local service. If you can get Global Express mail to your area, this is a far better choice. See below for more information.
Express Mail - 18.00 (US only) - offers one or two days with the postal service, but it will still take me a day or two to ship. There is no such thing as NEXT DAY from me.
Global Priority Mail (including Canada) - additional 5.00. GP will cut a number of days off the shipment to non-US locations. Check here to see if your location can receive Global Priority.
Global Express Mail - additional fee applies - EMS delivery is the fastest I can offer outside of the US. Shipping time varies from 3 to 10 days depending on where you live. It is NOT guaranteed, but it is fast and dependable and offers the fastest and most secure service to your location, including insirance on the value of the goods. Check this list to see if your location receives Global Express Mail. Global Express may be required for larger orders or for shipments going to a third party or non-billing address. I will notify you if this is necessary.

Rates are for shipping by USPS Media Mail (you can add Priority Mail to speed your order)
You can choose optional insurance or faster shipping options when you checkout.
$3.75 for orders up to $22.00
$4.50 for orders up to $50.00
$5.00 for all orders over $100.00

Media Mail shipping time is usually about 10 days coast to coast, but it can take 12-20 BUSINESS days. Please be patient.

Check with your customs or tax services if you are concerned about import duties or local taxes. I have no control over these.
You can upgrade your shipping to Global Priority for an additional $4.00, which will cut a good bit of time off your delivery. This service is limited to a certain list of countries. Check here to see if your location qualifies..

Please not that sometimes CDs will be shipped without jewel boxes to allow for faster post at a reasonable rate. E-mail before you place an order if this is a problem. Please note: We will verify all orders over $100.00 by e-mail. If we cannot confirm by e-mail, we cannot ship your order, so please be sure to include your correct e-mail. Please contact me if you have any questions about international orders.

* Certain regions or countries will require special shipping by a private carrier like DHL or FedEx. A special surcharge of 25.00 - 50.00 may apply for this service. I will contact you by e-mail about this if necessary. Please contact me by e-mail if you prefer to use a private carrier for your delivery.
