They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. I guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.

The great Greek vocalist and experimenter has explored the avant garde, Greek folk roots, Sephardic music and jazz, each step along the way creating music that is both beautiful and challenging. There is not a one of these recordings I would not personally recommended.

The idea for an album compilation of lullabies was from composer Nikos Kypourgos and coincided with his daughter`s birth. Most of these traditional songs have been preserved in various archives. The fact that Kypourgos did not have any recorded material at his disposal provided an alibi to treat the songs more freely. This final compilation is performed by a group of excellent musicians complemented by the unique voice of Savina Yannatou. The real secret of Lullabies is that they can actually touch and appeal to grown-ups just as much as children.
