Thanasis PapakonstantinouDiaphanous (Lyra, Greece) $19.99 The Greek master of mystery and mood is back with his 2007 release. Once again, echoes of Leonard Cohen, Jim Morrisson and Tom Waits are coupled with radical new ideas for the use of Greek traditional and modern musical forms, and once again, he is astounding. Highly recommended Nondas Kitsis writes in RootsWorld: Diaphanous is Thanasis Papakonstantinou's return to laiko primacy. Diaphanous is his most mature and complete record so far and is also the record where his whole discography is expressed, not only his late period (from Vrachnos Profitis henceforth) but even his earlier records, when he wrote more straightforward songs for more straightforward performances. Lyrically speaking, it's a record full of lust, sex and death.

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
