Trouveur Valdotèn Cromozome: Musique Traditionnelle des Alpes Occidentales (Trouveur Valdotèn) The group TROUVEUR VALDOTÈN, which was born at the end of the '70's, keeps on following its path of deep ethno-musicological research in the Western Alps, trying to give a live, contemporary dimension to the cultural expression of that region. Cromozome is the product of a long work of analysis and elaboration of an oral patrimony made of songs and dances, of dreamt images or real circumstances, in defence of the specificity of Valle d'Aosta, a francophone region in the Italian state. This album wishes to be an outcome of the work done so far, and of all the encounters during all these years, which have broadened the views and the musical intentions of the members of this family which has managed to make a job out of a passion, inheritance of a dynamic memory that survives thanks to the creative contribution of its actors.
