BandAdriaticaContagio (Finisterre) BandAdriatica focuses on the Adriatic Sea bands and Balkan fanfares, music for processions, carnivals and other events. This recording offers a hypothetical voyage around Adriatic sea port from Salento to Dalmatia, from Venice to Durazzo and out to the Greek islands. Marches and tarantellas, slavic dances and Greek night songs are read in a personal style.

Musicians turn into sailors, searching for a kind of language able to mix different cultures, all sharing the passion for the same sea.
BandAdriatica has taken part in several ethnic music festivals (Mundus, Vincoli Sonori, Gipsy and klezmer music festival, La notte della Taranta Festival) and in 2006/2007 has played more than once with King Naat Veliov & the Original Kocani Orkestar.
