Ciuma, Salvi & Trombesi Trio
Il Mare di Lato
$17.99
This is a trio of masters. Stefano del Vecchio, aka Ciuma (Emilia Romangna), Mario Salvi (Puglia) and Roberto Tombesi (Veneto) offer a trans-Italian viewpoint that is steeped in their regional traditions (saltarello, tarantella, etc...) but is always forward looking, bringing the unique individual styles into a new whole. These artists are well known as soloists and as members of some of Italy's important ensembles. These are all live recordings made in Italy in 2001 and show what real virtuosity and spirit can produce!
"We are not three soloists who come together to record. We want to unite our individual experiences and ouselves as three elements of a whole in order to create a new story, which will continue." - Mario Salvi.
Listen to Salvi's "Strummolo" (the full song in Real Audio featured in the 2002 RootsWorld Free Reed Festival)

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
