Atlante - Musiche dai teatri / music from the stage

Musician, composer, sound engineer and music and multimedia producer Pizzimenti has made his own creative recordings, as well as collaborating on TV, radio, theatre and film. He has also toured both in Italy and other parts of the world with artists such as The Manhattan Transfer, Gilberto Gill, Miriam Makeba, Milton Nascimento and Caetano Veloso, while as a musician he has played on records by Roberto Vecchioni, Aeroplani Italiani, Rudy Marra, Banda Osiris and Tony e i Volumi.
Pizzimenti's new album is a collection of a dozen such tracks featuring a number of pieces he wrote for the Settimo Theatre production Codice Atlantico. Even without the images and gestures for which it was created, the music still sounds inspired, combining styles and influences into a perfect whole. What emerges is a music that is anything but fragmentary, a captivating music that transports the listener to far-off places, almost as in a dream. The music's immediacy in no way detracts from its creative density. beautiful, pleasing and complex all at once, Pizzimenti is a unique composer and audio-engineer.

In this time of turmoil and renewed attempts to re-erect barriers among people, this music in all its enthusiasm and optimism and sheer abandon in a future that considers the present (a future in which people don't spend all their energy worrying about the beliefs of the others) is a necessary companion.
Cut off from the production it was meant to accompany, the music has lost its role as a commentator but still retains its power to create images in the mind. An indispensable item for armchair travelers and accidental tourists. - Nondas Kitsos, RootsWorld |

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
