Listen to some MP3 samples:
Taklax (trad)
Kaukana Lännessä (P. Hakala)
Aarnio (trad, from the Aarnio family)
On the tracks of the old players is the translation, and this duo (well known for their work with Värttinä, Maria Kalaniemi's Aldargaz, Pirnales, The Progmatics and many other influential Finnish ensembles) tracked down some choice tunes, as well as composing some of their own, and present them in straight duets for 1 and 2 row accordions (Markku) and various mandolins and fiddles (Petri). The tunes run from straight dance tunes to some interesting new approaches (which harken, at least a bit, to the revolutionary work done by Riccardo Tesi and Patrick Vaillant in the 80s and 90s). The playing is flawless and spirited, the arrangements direct and the ambience warm and lively.

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
