Otto Larsson Som en fjäril Otto Larsson is a musician who touches you more than others, not only musically, but also his person. He was in his way as close to a "blues man" as you can come in Swedish traditional music. He had an airy and clear tone on the nyckelharpa, and played with a light rhythm. About the recordings: Track 1-24 was recorded by Otto Larsson himself in the 1960´s. No 25-39 recorded by Simon Simonsson at the beginning of the 1970´s.

She grew up in Vendel, north of Uppsala. At the age of 20 and at that time the youngest, she was honored with the title of "National Fiddler" (Riksspelman). In 1999 she got the Viksta-Lasse scholarship and in 2004 the Pekkos-Gustaf scholarship. Cecilia Österholm plays the nyckelharpa. She comes from Östhammar, in the north of Uppland, where the nyckelharpa has been played for centuries.
