Montanaro with Laurence Bourdin and Amanda Gardone L'Ora Daurada (Nord Sud) This 2007 recording by Montanaro and his 'tribe' is named after this moment before dawn, when he often gets inspired. A moment he likes to call L'Ora Daurada “the Golden Hour”. Once again, the tracks of this album find Montanaro and his Compagnie evolving in their very own musical universe, somewhere between traditional music of Provence and free jazz, evoking North Africa, Central Asia or Esmeralda Beach in Ecuador. The music of the trio has been composed to give the feeling of an «Ora Daurada»...» - Montanaro « En fin de journée lorsque le soleil perd de son éclat, il y a dans l'air comme une vibration apaisante et profonde. C'est à ce moment là où, marchant dans la campagne, je suis sensible aux souvenirs, aux émotions passées et présentes, à l'infini fragilité des choses. C'est à ce moment-là que je perçois dans la nature comme une symphonie de glissements, d'inquiétudes et d'attentes. Je ne sais pas si ce moment de la journée qui précède le crépuscule a un nom, je l'ai appelé « l'heure dorée... ». C'est souvent aussi à ce moment-là que je chante sans bruit, que je compose des images sonores dans ce faux silence et que naissent mes chansons. Bien sûr en ville, on ne perçoit pas toujours ces instants privilégiés de la journée...Quelquefois dans quelque lieu isolé du bruit des voitures, dans un étage supérieur d'un immeuble avec vue sur les toits, on en a conscience et cela provoque une douce tristesse mêlée de tous les espoirs du monde. Les musiques de ce concert ont été préparées pour passer ensemble une « heure dorée... » .
