Please note!
Most of our CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. I guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
Thanks- Cliff, cdRoots

Multe Music
Exploring the roots, shoots and fruits of Scandinavian and Nordic traditions
Multemusic

Multe Music takes its name from the Scandinavian root word for cloudberry, the rare slow-growing sub-arctic bramble fruit found throughout the Nordic countries. A wild plant, it needs sunny exposure and grows in acidic ground where other crops are not possible. The taste is both tart and sweet — like life itself. That's Multe Music

Knut Reiersrud Og Iver Kleive - Bla koral - $19.99
(cdRoots# kkv-106)
Knut Reiersrud and Iver Kleive's Blå Koral (Blue Choral) features Knut's earthbound guitars coupled with Iver's pipe organ in a meeting between the religious European organ tradition and Norwegian and American folk tradition, where salms and folk melodies are performed in unorthodox, unprejudiced and free interpretations. 'A thoroughly interconnected musical triumph' said PULS and 'deserves tremendous words of praise' (Dagbladet). The album earned them the Spellemannsprisen in 1991

Nordafjells - General - $16.99
(cdRoots# talik-17)
From Oppdal and Lalm in Norway, this fine quartet of accordions, fiddle and bass moves in a similar circle to Finland's JPP, playing traditional dance music with new energy, verve and a bit of humor. There's no fusion or flash, just solid musicianship offered for the simple joy of playing the tunes. A short bonus video shows off that humorous side.
