Mötet is one the new CDs on the Resonans imprint from MNW records, a numbered edition (limited to 1000 copies) digipack of a classic recording. Livstrand (best known for her work with her 80s band Anitas Livs) is joined by a remarkable cast including Coste Apetera and Lasse Hollmer from Samla Mammas Manna, the exceptional percussionist Bengt Berger, Thomas Mera Gartz from Träd Gräs and Stenar, Bill Öhrström from Fläsket Brinner
Press from the record label:
Anita Livstrands album was released in 1978 and has not been released on CD yet.
The music is inspired by Anitas studies in Indian classic song and music, but also by other types of music from different cultures. Anita was for a long time looking for a string instrument suitable for her music, and finally she found the Turkish "Saz" (with a soft and rich sound).
This was "world music" well before such concept was widely used. Anita can master everything from blues and Indian music to joik. She switches from style to style in a natural way and can, with her widely ranged voice and strong feeling, create new worlds.
At the end of the 70's and beginning of 80's Anita was playing with the leading musicians of the Swedish avantgard collective and features on several albums from that time.
This CD features former members from Samla Mammas Manna: Lasse Holmer and Coste Apetrea, as well as Ulf Wallander, Thomas Mera Gartz, Bengt Berger, Bill Ohrstrom and Turid Lundqvist.
MNW RESONANS - A newly-started label for releases from MNW:s unique record-collection
MNW was established in 1969 and has since then released 20-30 albums every year, which means that there are about 1000 titles in the catalouge. However, thanks to acquisition from other companies and labels, the current number of titles has increased to a bit more than 1500.
The catalogue is a unique treasure of culture, containing an incredibly wide range of music; rock, pop, jazz, folk music, avantgard and progressive. There are of course some albums in the catalogue that may be slightly less popular, but at the same time interesting as collectables or for minorities. There are a lot of records that are still listenable even though they were not written yesterday. Records with individuality and artistic and musical qualities which last just as well as traditional classics. Records that in a unique way tell us about its time. Productions that show that MNW has dared to take initiatives and stand out, but also enjoyed confidence for its integrity and way of working.
The work of making this, or parts of it, available has lead us to collect more odd and unique releases and republications in an exclusive series of limited editions that we have chosen to call MNW Resonans.

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
