The "Flesh Quartet," Swedish string quartet+percussion, tackles a new musical world of ambient noise, lush layered pop and edgy rock, mixing the strings and percussion into a rich electro-acoustic landscape that escapes easy classification. On this, the second of their 'swine' recordings, there is actually a stronger, almost folky quality to the strings at some moments, a strange juxtaposition to the sometimes noisy sound the band can produce. This recording is all over the place: heavy metal strings, romantic classical, folky-plinky melodies and walls of sound all merge into a strange and pleasant blur. You just won't know where you are from moment to moment.
