The three experienced musicians of Bäsk (Jonas Simonson, Sten Källman and Hans Kennemark) have come together once again and the result is beautiful and completely their own. Bask follow a route similar to their last recording (on Northside), but explore ideas that go in diverse directions: more regal and elegant on one hand, more raw and visceral on the other. Flutes, fiddles, reeds and percussion are used in combinations unusual for the folk tradition, and the results are exquisite.
