Johan Hedin - nyckelharpa
Markus Svensson - nyckelharpa
Annika Wijnbladh - cello
It is as usual thanks to Eric Sahlström (one of the greatest composers and musicians of the nyckelharpa "keyed fiddle" in Uppland/Sweden) that there are so many young nyckelharpa fiddlers today. Eric Sahlström, the magician of the nyckelharpa, not only played and composed an endless number of tunes but he also built nyckelharpas in his workshop. Eric Sahlström was a virtuoso and many of his compositions have been of great importance in inspiring the young musicians of today. Trio Patrekatt started out in the Spring of 1995, consisting of Johan Hedin, nyckelharpa, Markus Svensson, nyckelharpa and Annika Wijnbladh, cello. These three eminent and wilful musicians together create a colourful trio, who show us how many different roads music can take. Their music is based on traditional Swedish folk music blended with their own very personal compositions and a touch of chamber music. The combination of two nyckelharpas and a cello give the group a very special ethereal sound. Trio Patrekatt soon became a popular live act and during1996 and 1997 they have toured Sweden, Norway and have also been to Ireland, Italy and Estonia. "Adam" is their debut album, released in June of 1997, and consists of both traditional tunes and their own compositions.

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
