Elegance, poetry, captivating melodies, enchanting atmospheres and something, truly intangible, truly deep, we can do nothing but name Mediterranean. The music of Antònia Font, whose name comes from their very first fan, carries a pop genome. It is pop music with a patina of the sensual light of the Mediterranean, painted with echoes of it's vivid colours. Nothing you can write in a score but something you can nearly touch in the band's songs, as if it were composed somewhere in the middle of a Miro landscape.

Antonia Font's music gathers the influence of Caetano Veloso's calmed saudade, Pascal Comelade's delicate universe, Syd Barret's visionary psychedelia and the Catalan surrealist songwriting tradition of the late 60s and 70s exemplified by Sisa and Pau Riba. An instrumental dress made to surround probably the most personal element of Antonia Font's proposal: the lyrics. Surrealism, imagination, the poetry of daily life and a capacity to paint images in the mind, so much so that the band has took the decision of creating a whole movie ( you'll find in the DVD disc included with "Taxi", finally transformed in a soundtrack.) Together they're a multimedia piece of art and a major work not only for the band's but for the whole Spanish pop scene.
