The idea for an album compilation of lullabies was from composer Nikos Kypourgos and coincided with his daughter`s birth. Most of these traditional songs have been preserved in various archives. The fact that Kypourgos did not have any recorded material at his disposal provided an alibi to treat the songs more freely.
