KvartsVarde (artist release) cdRoots Code: kvarts-016 On of this Norwegian roots quartet's strongest assets is their ability to work with other musicians on special projects, and Vadre is a strong presentation of both the ensemble's cohesivness and the guests ability to push them in new directions. The ensemble (fiddle, hardinfele, bass, guitar, percussion, accordion) is joined by Birger Mistereggen (munnharpe and percussion), Eldbjørg Hemsing (fiddle and hardangar fiddle) and Ragnhild Hemsing (bratcsh, fiddle and hardangar fiddle).
