Breton musician Genty (fretless and electric bass, voice, keyboard and guitar) is joined on this 2004 release by a stellar ensemble of Jean-Michel Veillon (flutes), Jacky Molard (violon), Patrick Boileau (drums), Laurent Genty (piano), with special guest vocalist Yann-Fanch Kemener.

This is clearly not for 'folkies.' It's a high tech, cinematic production, using folk roots as a reference point, but venturing way outside of the tradition. Fans of late Malicorne will find it interesting and strangely, fans of new age music (which I am not) will probably find it fascinating as well.
