The Norwegian art ensemble Skruk and singer Rim Banna from Nazareth join together to create a powerful recording, interpreting traditional songs from both cultures about the Nativity, centered on themes of homelessness and peace. They appraoch the material form a number of angles: classical chorale, avant garde and jazz, traditional folk music all have a place, sometimes shared, in this musical collage. Arranaged and conducted by Skruk pianist Toed Gustavsen and performed by Rim Banna and an ensemble of voices, piano, percussion and bass.
