More info: Kulturkirken Jakob served as the studio for this new CD by Aage Kvalbein and Iver Kleive. Using the Steinway grand piano in this church and a treasure of a cello, two of Norways greatest musicians have dug deep into the world of melancholy. Kvalbein and Kleive take the listener on a journey through musical gems from classical music, traditional folk songs and well-loved ballads. Erik Hillestad of KKV, the producer, presented a list of songs and works often used in situations where people have felt the need to comfort and lift their souls. With their long experience in the world of music it was easy for Kvalbein and Kleive to supplement the list, and they quickly found the mood and the style that perfectly fits music to comfort the soul. Track list: 1. "Jag har hört om en stad ovan molnen" (I have heard of a place above the clouds) 2. "Air" by Johann Sebastian Bach 3. "Gjendines bånlåt" (Gjendines lullaby) 4. "Eg veit i himmerike ei borg (Castle in the Sky) 5. Theme from "Adagio" by Albinoni 6. "Blott en dag" (Day by Day) 7. "After a Dream" by Gabriel Fauré 8. "I himmelen, i himmelen" (In Heaven Above) 9. "Ave Maria" by Bach-Gounod 10. "O bli hos meg" (Abide With Me) 11. "I ensomme stunde" (In Lonely Moments) by Ole Bull 12. "Tryggare kan ingen vara" (No One Can Be Safer) 13. Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
