Medieval Norse Ballads performed with a lot of skill and verve by this quintet of Norwegian musicians - Sidsel Brevig (fiddles), Tone Hulbakækmo (voice, harp, lyre), Hans Fredrik Jacobsen (arab lutes, flutes, bagpipe, kantele, lyre), Sverre Jansen (psaltery, mandora, hurdy-gurdy, Norwegian dulcimer), Gilles Obermayer (percussion).
Recorded in 1989. Highly recommended.
