More info: Dikanda are : Ania Witczak - vocal, accordion Kasia Dziubak- violin, vocal Daniel Kaczmarczyk - percussion Piotr Rejdak - guitar Grzegorz Kolbrecki - double bass This record contains traditional songs, scored in an arrangement usual for Dikanda - not bound by any style, but based on ideas selected from many different styles. The group was founded in 1997 in Szczecin, Poland. Passion for the traditional music and hard work let them create their own style and original sound. Their acoustic songs have been inspired wholly by Oriental culture, Balkan folklore – Macedonian and Romanian. Typical Dikanda’s style is creation of new words and meanings in composed songs. Dikanda in one of the African’s dialects stands for family. This is directly connected with the group’s spirit – they live and work as if it was a small, loving family. The concert on Fusion was not only the best concert I ever saw, but also one of the best music experiences of any kind I ever had. I'm completely blown away; it feels silly even to talk about it. I so hope we can make this concert into a tradition on every Fusion.

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
