The recrd label says:
Tuvan avant-garde singer Sainkho Namtchylak's exciting and astonishing performances take their strength from the ancient shamanic rituals of her country. Sainkho is able to mix the different elements of her culture: the Siberian folklore with the shamanic tradition, the mysterious sounds of "throat singing" with the wisdom of the Buddhist religion. Since 1988 Sainkho has worked with creative improvising musicians in the Soviet Union, trying to blend traditional ethnic elements with the sound of avant-garde. She was also member of the original jazz ensemble Tri-O from Moscow. Her new CD, Who Stole the Sky?, sung in Russian, Tuvan and English, mixes electronics and traditional singing, creating a fascinating and exciting blend which defies categorization.

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
