Idjassi's repertoire reveals the joyously authentic music of an urban ensemble. Her music is based on Turkish or Iranian tunes, as well as pieces that imitate one of the oldest and most typical forms of Georgian polyphonic folk music. Idjassi accompanies herself on the garmoni (accordion) and a traditional three-string lute - a symbol of joy, and characteristic of the eastern part of Georgia. Her vocal art has made her one of the best ambassadors of a tradition she inherited from her family and chose to enrich with high-level musical studies.
