From the liner notes: To say Frank Zappa was a unique phenomenon would not cover half of it. He was a fan of Stravinsky and Varèse, a rocker and a musical philosopher. His music crossed boundaries between jazz, classical and rock, sometimes making the transition so seamless that it became a totally new genre unto itself. Ultimately Zappa's art was completely unclassifiable. On Chant du Monde's new live recording Les noces de dada, Bernard Struber's group Struber Z'tett pays homage to the late, great musical genius. Struber began his musical career at age thirteen as a rock guitarist, a New Orleans style jazz pianist and a church organist (!). At sixteen, Struber began studies in classical organ at the Academy of Music of Strasbourg and ultimately won several competitions. In the 1970's, he began to take on jobs as a jazz studio arranger/leader and was involved in forty recordings. In 1987, Struber created the Regional Jazz Orchestra of Alsace which by the late nineties evolved into his Jazztett, consisting of nine accomplished musicians. In addition to the six discs to their credit, the Struber Z' tett has played at prestigious jazz festivals around the world. TRACK LIST

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
