A powerful and unique recording by this Turkish percussionist, who performs on darbuka, daf, bendir, deholla, and other small percussion instruments, does some pyrotechnic 'mouth music' percussion, and on some tracks plays in duet with guest musicians on bass, percussion, clarinet, baglama, tampura, vocal or ney.

The record label says: 'Levent was born Yeldirim Levent in Ankara, Turkey in 1968. Influenced by his elder brother, Ustad Misirli Ahmet, he began to play darbuka (a Turkish, ceramic-bodied drum) just after high school. After beginning his professional career in Ankara, he moved to France where he toured with French, African and Egyptian Jazz players. In Egypt, where he went together with Misirli Ahmet, he accompanied well-known national solo players including Mohammed Fuad, Eheb Temik and Muhammad Moli on their live performances and studio recordings. Levent then toured Europe with the famous Egyptian pianist Fethi Seleme’s band Sharkiyat'
