Please note!
Most of our CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. I guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
Thanks- Cliff, cdRoots

The Henrys and Three Metre Day
Led by guitarist Don Rooke, the never-less-than-surprising, ever-changing ensemble of musicians called The Henrys skirts just about every known boundary, slipping easily from jazz to blues to avant garde to roots-rhythms and mostly just sound like The Henrys. In 2011 Don was joined by violinist Hugh Marsh and pump organist and vocalist Michelle Willis to create Three Metre Day.
 Coasting Notes - Three Metre Day $16.99 (cdRoots# henrys-3m)
Three Metre Day is an original, Canadian roots music trio whose members are violinist Hugh Marsh, guitarist Don Rooke and pump organist and vocalist Michelle Willis. This debut for the Canadian trio is warm, intense and complex, offering songs both beautiful and edgy.
 Atlas Travel - Don Rooke $15.99 (cdRoots# henrys-atlas)
The solo release by composer, guitarist and all around swell guy Don Rooke from The Henrys is an exercise in sonic spaciousness, aural elbow room and capricious experimentation.
 Desert Cure - The Henrys $15.99 (cdRoots# henrys-desert)
Back in print! The third disc from this Toronto combo firmly establishes Don Rooke as one of acoustic guitar's greatest unsung heroes. Rooke is a startling original who seems constitutionally incapable of resorting to slide cliches.' - Guitar Player
 Chasing Grace - The Henrys $15.99 (cdRoots# henrys-grace)
 Joyous Porous - The Henrys $15.99 (cdRoots# henrys-joy)
it's jazz, it's American roots and blues, it's avant garde soul, it's all and none at all. Centered on the squeeks and squirls of Don Rookes slide and plucked guitars, driven by an quirky sense of ambiance by a core band of bass and drums, they are joined by an equally quirky cast of guests (Michael White, Mary Margaret O'Hara and Hugh Marsh, among others. They all contribute a closet full of sounds, from horns, kalimbas, tin pans and other household sounding objects to old analog synthesizers: therimins and mellotrons and Arps and such from the studio basement.
 Puerto Angel - The Henrys $19.99 (cdRoots# henrys-puerto)
 Is This Tomorrow (2 discs) - The Henrys $15.99 (cdRoots# henrys-tomorrow)
The new CD/DVD combo from this most eclectic band is coming in late June, 2009. This is not just a CD, it is a CD/DVD package. 2-disc set is about 2 hours of music, copious photography, home theatre (5.1) sound, a pdf file with song info, and the tactile kicks of the 3x2 panel recycled paper digipak packaging. Highly Recommended
