The HenrysIs This Tomorrow (Hen Corp) The new CD/DVD combo from this most eclectic band. This is not just a CD, it is a CD/DVD package. 2-disc set is about 2 hours of music, copious photography, home theatre (5.1) sound, a pdf file with song info, and, as the band puts it, the tactile kicks of the 3x2 panel recycled paper digipak packaging.

The band says: It's been seven years since The Henrys quietly tore across the Canadian music scene with the critically acclaimed 'Joyous Porous', and now they've returned with a new CD. 'Is This Tomorrow' moves beyond the trademark instrumentals that the group is primarily known for, to feature vocals. The guest vocalists are longtime Henrys collaborator Mary Margaret O'Hara, Toronto-London hipster Martina Sorbara and Becca Stevens (Bjorkestra), a North Carolina-born vocalist based in New York City. Each woman brings a unique musicality to the project and a chance for the band to create Henrys-style soundscapes to complement their singing. With a wealth of material, The Henrys have also included a bonus DVD, that offers another hour of music mixed in 5.1 and synced with still photography. The band calls it a 'domestic installation piece' - a home-theatre slide show. This is the fifth release from Toronto's The Henrys. The band is largely based around slide guitarist Don Rooke and a rotating cast of characters, including Mary Margaret O'Hara, John Sheard (Stuart McLean) and Hugh Marsh (Jon Hassell). Their last release, 2002's Joyous Porous, was a top pick in the Toronto Star, rated 4 N's in Toronto's NOW magazine and 3 1/2 stars in the Globe and Mail. Q Magazine called their songs "slowly unfolding delights."

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
