Tone Hulbękmo is considered to be one of Norways finest singers, and this 1995 recording is a prime example of her formidible vocal talent, in a series of tradition-based original songs written by she and Hans Fredrik Jacobsen, performed in a contemporary, art-music style, accompanied by flutes, harp, bagpipes, kantele, percussion, accordion, guitar and ud. Lots of traditional sounds, but they don;t hesitate to use Asian, Latin and other sounds to enlarge the soundscape.
