The record label says: Like the first and highly recommended CD "Serras", the melodic material is the Danish scorebooks from the 17th century and a result of every single band member's different musical references. Since their first CD, released 1999, the band has been playing the mayor big Danish festivals, and festivals abroad as the Dranouter Folk Festival (B), Folkest (I) and Celtic Connection (Sco). Besides they have work in the studio experimenting with new expressions and Old Danish traditional tunes. This CD is the result. The band members have worked with many styles of music and still do. As a result, the music is characterised by this multitude of styles. The style of SERRAS. Besides SERRAS you know them from bands as Sorten Muld, Blues Brothers Souvenir Show, Puls, DK-lokomotive and Haugaard&Høirup. Harald Haugaard is deeply involved with traditional Danish music. He found a number of themes in dusty old music books, melodies by the clerk Rasmus Storm from South Funen, by the flautist Count Otto von Raben from Lolland and by the Faeroese student of theology, Jens Christian Svabonius. |

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
