Sweet Nyaa (Go Danish Folk)

Irish music is the specialty of this Danish folk group, and they do it so well that on this recording they are joined on 11 of their 13 tracks by the legendary Donal Lunny, which certainly stands as an endorsement of their skill and interst in the music!

John Pilkington (Vocals, Guitar, Bouzouki, Keyboards)
Svend Kjeldsen (Bodhran, Percussion, Vocals)
Klavs Vester (Flute, Tin Whistles)
Lousie Ring Vangsgaard (Fiddle)
Mette Lovschal (Irish Stepdance, Vocals)
Donal Lunny (Bouzouki, Bass Bodhran)

The band says:
The Danish band Moving Cloud plays Irish - one of the few bands in Scandinavia with the ability to combine an open-minded approach to the music with a deep respect for the Irish tradition.

The new album "Sweet Nyaa" is again produced by Irish icon Dònal Lunny, but this time with Dònal playing on 11 of the CD's 13 numbers. The album was recorded in both the band's own Hot Frigidaire Studio and in Konge Studio, Yamazaki, Japan. The album contains traditional songs in new arrangements as well as new songs written in the tradition by the Irish songwriters John Neville and Don Stiffe. The instrumental-music is widely inspired of the tradition from Co. Sligo in North-West Ireland. Moving Cloud contributes with three self-penned tunes, plus a percussive composition for bodhrán and stepdance.

Please note!
Most CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. We guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
