About the artists:
Danish music with roots, wings and a devotion.
With passion, intensity and devotion Instinkt gives traditional Danish folkmusic a new voice, showing how our times of interkulturelle diversity, openness, and willingness to experiment are reflected against the traditions. All of the members of INSTINKT have a long standing relationship with the Danish/Nordic music tradition. Some have also played Irish and French-Canadian folkmusic. And all have played in other genrer as well. It is the meeting of these traditions and diverse musical experiences that feeds the creativity and results in Instinkt producing the hybrid of music with a folkmusic tone and feeling. Instinkts special style and sound are characterised by a special blend of instruments: strings, hurdy-gurdy, jawharp, flutes, bass and dums - together with more exotic live sound sources.

The band loves to experiment with simple melodies over deep grooves, with expressive soundscapes, voices in harmony and many other vocal touches. - Masculine poetry and powerful women !

INSTINKT is a unique, modern and colorful orchestra on the international musicscene. Instinkt has existed for 6 år and played for fans in Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Skotland and Canada.

The bands members have played in such diverse groups as Moving Cloud, Kætter Kvartet, Impotators og Sorten Muld.

German music award and support by the the Danish Arts Council. In January 2006 the orchestra was awarded the coveted German award for live bands "Eisernen Eversteiner" at the14th FOLKHERBST FESTIVAL in Plauen, Germany.
