Rarefolk has become in the 10 years of its existence one of the most important progressive folkbands in Spain. They played more than 400 concerts, participated in the most prestigious national and international folkfestivals and performed in several TV-shows. Unima Verse is now the third CD release of the band and presents their Freestyle Folkmusic that combines Electronic music, Afrcican music, Jazz, Rock and Oriental music to a unity of forms, traditions and styles full of power and creativity. Soulful popsongs alternate with uptempo instrumental folksongs and turn directly into electronic Dance music from northern Africa. Rarefolk will probably be the next band in bringing the new spanish folk-movement to the rest of the world.
