Piedra 1 is the record debut of this group whose nucleus consituyen the three brothers Corral. They havededicated 12 years to the development of their personal way to compose music. They started as a wild, free improvisation ensemble, then began to discover and incorpore acoustic instruments and Balkans, Andalusíes and Arabic sounds. During this time they have crossed many kilometers of highway and participated in numerous festivals on the Peninsula and made musical trips to all of Europe.
Karton Boulevard Imbérica – nombre singular para una propuesta singular: música inventada desde las músicas populares del sur de la Península Ibérica, de Oriente, de Europa, de la música contemporánea, del freejazz.
Piedra 1 es el debut discográfico de este grupo vallisoletano cuyo núcleo consituyen los tres hermanos Corral. Llevan 12 años dedicados al desarrollo de su particular manera de concebir y componer música. Después de sus inicios como grupo eléctrico que se entretenía en salvajes improvisaciones siguiendo las enseñanzas del free jazz, fueron descubriendo e incorporando los instrumentos acústicos y los sonidos balcánicos, andalusíes y arábigos.
Durante todos estos años han recorrido muchos kilómetros de carretera y participado en numerosos festivales de la Península y realizado viajes musicales por toda Europa.
Seleccionados para los circuitos Injuve 2003, participarán en los festivales de folk más importantes de la península: Cartagena, Segovia, Getxo.
Cabe destacar el atractivo digipack del disco, una pequeña obra de arte por sí mismo, creada por Gustavo Corral.
