Iso Karhu
Ulappa
$17.99
This one is a peculiar little number: ancient Asian poems are joined with original music by Hannu Virtanen and Tuomas Logren. But what results is kind of like a Finnish version of the folk-rock of The Band. It's an unexpected twist, but it makes for interesting folk-pop music. You'll miss a lot without understanding the language, but you'll get a great aural experience in spite of missing the texts.
Maija Karhinen (voice), Taito Hoffren (voice), Hannu Virtanen (voice, guitar), Tuomas Logren (guitars, dobro, bouzouki, percussion), Eero Grundström (keyboards, accordion, jewsharp) plus bass and drums.

Please note!
Most CDs have been
imported from Europe or Asia.
They are not all
shrink-wrapped, and I am not
going to con you by wrapping them
here just to make you think they
have been sterilized in America.
We guarantee that the CDs and the
contents are all brand new and in
perfect condition. Whenever I
can, I use recycled shipping
materials. They may not look as
pretty on the outside, but they save
money and keep the trash dumps a
little bit emptier.
