Konsta (1994)

In some ways the official "national folk group" of Finland, this 14 year old group has featured some of the brightest lights of Finnish traditional music. The core ensemble is Ritva Talvitie, Timo Valo, Antti Hosioja, Risto Hotakainen. They play fiddle, harmonium, drone-fiddle, jouhikko, bass, mandolin, accordion, flutes, offer some excellent vocals. Konsta features guest artist Kurt Lindblad from Ottopasuuna.
