Shoemaker, farmer and and melodeon player from Jalasjärvi, Finland. These are traditional dance tunes recorded in the 1970s and reissued on CD. This is the real thing, unadorned and untainted by any popular musical influences, just a man and his accordion. These lovely recordings are informal, with Mr Hautanen commenting on the tunes (in Finnish), and the booklet includes extensive Finnish notes and charts for some of the tunes.
