Ma’arìaSugnari (FolkClub Ethnosuoni) Ma’arìa are two extraordinary female voices, set to the rhythm of percussion and one guitar. In quest'opera prima la poesia dialettale di Valeria Cimò si unisce alla abilità strumentale di Matilde Politi e Lajos Zsivkov in una miscela insolita quanto efficace. Ma.arìa significa stregoneria, incantesimo, e la formula magica mescola nella pozione: voci, poesia dialettale, corde, pelli, fiati, fisarmonica e marranzano, terra e un filo di ironia. Le parole raccontano frammenti di vita reale, ninna nanne, favola, sogno e alchimia". Valeria Cimò firma tutti i brani (tre assieme a Matildo Politi) e suona il tamburello o la tamorra. Matilde Politi canta e suona la chitarra, la fisarmonica, il caval, il dun-dun e le castagnette, Lajos Zsikov (tipico nome siciliano, peraltro) suona darbouka, chitarra, dun-dun, marranzano. Oltre a loro solo qualche ospite sparso. Eppure l'effetto è di grande fascino e per niente scarno. Un piacere assoluto per le orecchie e, forse, anche per gli occhi. La copertina comunque (dipinti della stessa Valeria Cimò) è di gran classe e lascia presagire le magie musicali che stiamo andando ad ascoltare.
