cd cover Amaia Zubiria
Haatik
$16.99

Amaia Zubiria (San Sebastian – Gipuzkoa, 1947) has a marvelous voice and a deep knowledge of traditional song. Together with Txomin Artola she was a longtime member of the ensemble Haizea, and after persuing solo careers for a number of years they came together again to record the beautiful and interesting ‘Folk Lore Sorta’ series of albums of traditional Basque song. Haatik is decidedly contemporary, with touches of rock and jazz throughout, but it never loses the feel of tradition, in the songs, in the delivery and in the attitude.

The singer is accompanied by a stellar set of musicians on guitar, bass, percussion, accordion, flutes, reeds, piano and more.

Amaia Zubiria: HAATIK
Ha presentado su nuevo disco. Haatik es el título de este disco compuesto por 13 hermosos temas donde se recogen las canciones más conocidas de su carrera, más unas cuantas nuevas. Pascal Gaigne ha sido el responsable de la producción musical.

Amaia Zubiriak (Donostia-Gipuzkoa, 1947), euskal kantagintzako sentikortasunik handieneko ahotsa izateaz gain, errepertorio herrikoiaren ezagupen sakona du. Haizea taldean Txomin Artolarekin batera ibili zen eta bide handia egin zuten elkarrekin. Urte askoan aldendurik ibili ondoren, Euskal Herriko kantu herrikoiaren inguruan Folk Lore Sorta deritzan bilduma eder bezain interesgarri bat sortzeko asmotan bildu ziren berriro.

Please note!
Most CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. We guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
