Please note!
Most of our CDs have been imported from Europe or Asia. They are not all shrink-wrapped, and I am not going to con you by wrapping them here just to make you think they have been sterilized in America. I guarantee that the CDs and the contents are all brand new and in perfect condition. Whenever I can, I use recycled shipping materials. They may not look as pretty on the outside, but they save money and keep the trash dumps a little bit emptier.
Thanks- Cliff, cdRoots

Aamos - Caravan
A Norwegian-Shetland collaboration, Aamos presents new folk music with a flair for good melodies, fine arrangements and an uncanny sense of timing. Kevin Henderson on fiddle; Mark Laurenson on fiddle and mandolin; and Vidar Skrede on guitar and stomp board.

Catriona McKay and Olov Johansson - Foogy
They met in Stockholm 2002 to share a concert with their bands, Väsen from Sweden and Shetland based Fiddlers’ Bid. Backstage before the concert Catriona asked Olov “Do you know this one?” and played Eric Sahlström’s Spelmansglädje. Join their exploration of traditional and new music from Scotland and Sweden, the sound of Scottish harp and Swedish nyckelharpa.

Jansberg - Terra Nova
Danish fiddler Henrik Jansberg explores new territories with his self-named band. All tracks have been developed in close collaboration with producer Søren Brylle, based on Henrik Jansberg's strong melodies with roots in folk music. They move from traditional folk to modern turmoil, hard-pumped technobass to country-cruise reels, danceable ballads and even a tribute to Shetland.

Kristian Blak - Shalder geo
Hedin Ziska Davidsen (guitar, calimba), Niels Arge Galán (mandolin, guitar), Sharon Weiss (recorder, spoons), Kári Bæk (oboe), Ólavur Olsen (trumpet), Andras Olsen (trombone), Kristian Blak (piano, perc), Mikael Blak (bass); present a suite by Kristian Blak based on traditional vocal and instrumental material from the Faroe Islands and the neighbouring Shetland Islands. "Shalder Geo is brilliant music that combines great depth with undeniable surface charm. It's inspiring how Blak's most recent music is among his richest," said David Lewis in Cadence magazine.
